I loath only one thing in this world ....Laundry! I hate it more than people that don't use their blinkers when then turn! I hate it more than the person that pulls up to the gas station to fill up and does not PULL FORWARD. I even hate it more than waking up in the morning with a zit on my face that looks like something out of a medical book...
So, After 9 loads of madness, I started to think about how bratty I really am.
Growing up I was not as lucky as I am today. When I was a kid new to the U.S. we lived in a one bedroom apartment. We saved every quarter we could get our hands on and then go down to the laundry mat and wash our clothes. Growing up I did not know any better and I seriously thought that having a washer and dryer was something that came with houses (like a backyard or a driveway). No joke. I was only 8 yrs old and Laundry Mats were the norm. To this day, every time I smell Downy Fabric Softener it takes me back to life on Flager Street and the apts.
Forward to today, I stood looking at all our clothes that we are blessed to wear on our backs and I need to see the good that was looking a back at me. Every shirt, pant, sock, and blanket was a vivid reminder that I live in a warm home and sleep in clean blankets that keep me warm. Every person in this family has plenty of clothes to keep them dry. So bring on the soap and dryer sheets, this girl has laundry to do.
